Putting Money Back into Theatre
When the new Chief Revenue Office of the Dance Media Publishing empire invited me in to talk about my ideas regarding their new content they were rolling out, I was very flattered but pretty nervous. What did I, as a dancer/actor have to say on the subject of journalism and business?
The meeting was unexpectedly great! I was able to draw from my past experience (something I’m trying to build more confidence in) and bring some really solid views on dancers and business to the table.
My latest interview actually turned out to be a great starting point for pitching my ideas, since the topics I brought up in for Dance Informa are points I think that both the dance and theater worlds could use some help understanding. Because actors and dancers still need to be a functioning human in the realy world outside the studio or stage!
